Confirmation Menus 2026
At Gamlaværket, we offer four carefully balanced three-course menus, as well as a buffet menu for confirmation celebrations. Our culinary philosophy is rooted in traditional dishes made with the finest Norwegian ingredients, with a focus on flavour, quality, and sustainability. Each menu is designed to provide a memorable dining experience and includes a festively set table to create an elegant setting for your celebration.
Our group menus are served in our private dining rooms or in the restaurant, set within Gamlaværket’s historic surroundings. To enhance the dining experience, we have carefully selected wine pairings to complement each menu. Guests are also welcome to choose from our curated wine list if they prefer.
To ensure everything is ready for your celebration, we kindly ask that menus be ordered at least 14 days in advance, unless otherwise agreed.
All guests in the group must choose the same menu, and a minimum of 10 guests is required when ordering a group menu.
We are happy to accommodate allergies and special dietary requirements when notified in advance, allowing each meal to be tailored to the individual guest.

A delicious journey through traditional Norwegian flavours, from velvety cauliflower soup to classic Norwegian Sursteik (cured beef) and homemade caramel pudding.
Creamy cauliflower soup
A velvety cauliflower soup, rich in flavour and texture, served with delicate cauliflower florets, crispy bacon, and an aromatic herb oil for the perfect finishing touch. It is accompanied by freshly baked bread and organic Røros butter on the side, a perfect start to the meal.

Traditional Norwegian Sursteik (cured beef)

"Mrs. Tronæs" Creamy Fish Soup
Our signature soup, prepared according to a traditional recipe, features fresh fish, hand-peeled shrimp, and finely cut vegetables in a silky, creamy broth. It is served with freshly baked bread and organic Røros butter, a true classic that captures the essence of Norwegian coastal tradition.
