Practical information

Yes, free Wi-Fi in all rooms and public areas. Login details can be found at check-in.

Check-in from kl. 15:00. Check out by noon. 12:00. Early check-in or late check-out can be booked at an additional cost. Contact reception on 51 68 51 70 or [email protected].

GamlaVærket does not have its own parking facility. Bystasjonen parking garage is a 3-minute walk away. Street parking is available in Langgata and St. Olavs gate. Charging points for electric cars are nearby.

Sola Airport is located approx. 14 km from GamlaVærket in the center of Sandnes. By taxi approx. 20 min. Bus (Kolumbus line 23) approx. 35 min. Train from Stavanger to Sandnes station takes 15 minutes – the station is a 1-minute walk from the hotel.

Restaurant and food

Yes. Please inform us about allergies when booking a table and the kitchen will accommodate.

Yes, Emanuels Plass Café in Langgata is open to everyone – not just hotel guests. Popular stop for coffee, pastries and simple dishes.

Yes. Weekend brunch at GamlaVærket restaurant in Sandnes: Saturday 11:00-15:00 and Sunday 12:00-16:00. Book a table at gastroplanner.no/Gamlavaerket or via Google Maps.

GamlaVærket restaurant is open Monday-Saturday 11:00-22:00 and Sunday 12:00-20:00. Opening hours may vary or the restaurant may be closed on public holidays. We recommend checking the website or calling the reception on 51 68 51 70 when visiting on public holidays.

Rooms and facilities

The minimum age is 18 years. Children from the age of 13 are considered adults and priced accordingly.

The bridal suite has views of Langgata, a private living room, antique furniture, double bed, Smart TV and coffee machine. Perfect for romantic stays and wedding accommodation.

GamlaVærket has a total of 55 unique rooms. 17 of these are new rooms from 2024, decorated in the historic Monsen Slakteri building with exposed concrete walls and industrial style.

Yes, breakfast buffet is included in most room packages. Weekdays 07:00-09:30, weekends 07:30-11:00. The buffet includes local produce from Rogaland.

Packages, SPA, training and experiences

Absolutely – the sauna can accommodate up to 12 people and is ideal for groups of friends, birthdays and team building. Use code HOTELGAMLA10 for a 10% discount.

Yes – SPA & Dinner and SPA & Brunch are both perfect for couples. Or a romantic stay. Minimum booking is 2 people. Book at [email protected].

The floating sauna is run by Mat & Trening Sandnes and is located in the center of Sandnes overlooking the fjord. As a guest at GamlaVærket, you get a 10% discount with code HOTELGAMLA10. The sauna takes up to 12 people and can be booked for 60, 90 or 120 minutes.

Drop-in training at Mat & Trening Sandnes gives you access to the fitness center for one session without having to buy a membership. Price: NOK 150 per person. Can be combined with the floating sauna – but the sauna must be booked in advance.

Yes! GamlaVærket has partnered with Mat & Trening Sandnes, which is within walking distance of the hotel. As a guest with us, you can work out on drop-in for only NOK 150 per person. No pre-registration required – just show up.

Yes! We offer SPA & Dinner and SPA & Brunch in collaboration with Four Season SPA Zen Spa. As a hotel guest, you also get a 15% discount on all treatments. Book your package at [email protected].
